Daily Thinkings

when i wake, i am alone
there should be words for beyond alone
or an oblivion within alone
at the heart of it
loneliness supposes there are others, somewhere

warm carpet, wine-stained pressed
the fan’s little engine purring
she works so hard

the other world, washington in the windows
my feet feel old, they will never be back
step, step, step,
gutted out silence

to be still is tough on your bones
and to change, well then comes the guilt

and when you’re naked, or alone, hope no one sees
or you wish everyone would see
and be impressed
or not care at all
